Girls' Generation To Go On A World Tour!!

Starting this upcoming June, Girls' Generation is planning on going on a world tour, '2013 Girls' Generation's World Tour-Girls & Peace', starting in Seoul, going around Asia, as well as the entire world. The hot response from fans in Korea as well as other countries who have waited for Girls' Generations' performances is being anticipated.

The Seoul concerts, which will start the world tour, will take place at the Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park on June 8th and 9th. It is expected that Girls' Generation will show off a high quality concert, showing their own, different performances and diverse charms, captivating fans.

As this solo concert will be the first one in 2 years following the July 2011 '2011 Girls' Generation Tour', and will be their first world tour, an explosive response is expected.

The Seoul concert tickets will go on sale online, starting on May 9th at 8pm, though G-Market. As Girls' Generation is a group that has much ticket power, it's predicted the booking will be fierce.

Meanwhile, for the Seoul concert, an overseas fan tour is in the plans, and the overseas fan tour package can be purchased through S.M.C&C's site. It will be available for purchase by fans all around the world, and it is expected that overseas fans' attentions will be centered [on this concert as well]

MBC revealed that Girls’ Generation’s Sunny and Seohyun will be narrating for ‘Real Men’, a new show on MBC’s “Sunday Night” television lineup.

‘Real Men’ is a military entertainment show, and Seohyun and Sunny will be narrating soldiers’ lives in girls’ perspective. It is said that the two were very surprised by soldiers’ daily lives that they never knew.

The new variety show also features celebrities such as Kim Soo Ro and MBLAQ’s Mir actually enlisting in the army and going through the same rigorous training that real soldiers receive.

Girls' Generation Seohyun & Taeyeon To Reprise Roles For 'Despicable 2'!!!

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Seohyun, who were praised for their voice dubbing in the 2010’s high grossing 3D animated film, ‘Despicable Me’, will reprise their roles for the upcoming sequel.

The two girls will once again take the roles of two of three smart and ambitious sisters Margo and Edith. Taeyeon provides the voice for Gru’s eldest daughter, Margo, a ten year old girl who is very skillful and intelligent. Meanwhile, Seohyun voices the mischievous and cynical Edith.

In ‘Despicable Me 2’, the main character Gru, who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest villain, is ironically recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help them fight a villain named Eduardo.

Girls' Generation Will Be Attending The '2013 Dream Concert'!!!

To be held on May 11, it has now been confirmed that Girls' Generation will be attending the '2013 Dream Concert' which will be held at the Seoul World Cup Arena.

There will be 21 groups in total and aside from SNSD, the line-up includes, KARA, 4minute, T-ara, Girl's Day, SECRET, SISTAR, SHINee, B2ST, INFINITE, 2AM, U-KISS, ZE:A,, EXO, B1A4, Rainbow, Huh Gak, SPEED, BTOB, EvoL, and VIXX.

Girls' Generation To Release 'Love & Girls' as Their 7th Japanese Single On May 29th!!

Following their 6th Japanese single titled 'Flower Power' and their 2nd Japanese Album titled 'Girls&Peace', Girls' Generation is now set to release their 7th Japanese Single.

To be released on May 29, the single 'LOVE&GIRLS' will contain two tracks, the first will also be titled 'Love&Girls' while the second track would be 'Lingua Franca'.

The single will have two different versions; the Limited Edition which includes a DVD containing the music video for 'Beep Beep'; and the Regular Edition with just the two tracks.

Girls' Generation To Release '2011 Girls' Generation Tour' Live Concert Album!!

On April 11th, Girls’ Generation will be releasing the concert album of the “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour”. The album will consist of two CDs and 34 tracks, and two songs, “Let It Rain” and “Danny Boy”, will be included as re-recorded studio versions. The remaining tracks for the album, including “Genie”, “Run Devil Run”, “Hoot”, “Gee”, “Oh!”, “Snowy Wish”, “Sweet Talking Baby”, “The Great Escape”, and “Bad Girl”, were recorded during Girls’ Generation’s concert performances in Seoul on July 23rd and 24th, 2011. These two concerts were also used for the DVD release of the “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour”, which can be purchased through YesAsia.

The “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour” was Girls’ Generation’s second concert tour through Asia. The tour began in Seoul and later reached Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, before ending in Thailand in February of 2012.

Girls' Generation To Release Music Video For 'Beep Beep' On April 5th!!!

It’s been revealed that Girls’ Generation will be releasing the music video for their Japanese track, “Beep Beep” on April 5th!

The official Universal Music Japan website for Girls’ Generation was updated earlier today with news stating that the music video for “Beep Beep” would be released on April 5 at 8 (presumably 8am because a lot of news releases in Japan use the 24-hour clock notation).

Community portal site DCInsider held a poll asking, “Which female celebrity is both pretty and handsome?” from March 26th to April 2nd. The resident ‘cutie’ of Girls’ Generation, who’s been wearing a boyish short cut for a while now, topped the list with 16.3% of the votes (141/864).

Fellow member Yuri came in 2nd with 13.8% (119 votes) for her sexy, healthy body, tanned skin, and outgoing personality. miss A‘s Suzy, who’s known to be a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, grabbed 3rd place with 5.6% (48). Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha, 2NE1‘s Dara, and 5dolls‘ Hyoyoung also made the list.

Girls' Generation Jessica Spotted Filming Running Man!!

It's time for Girls' Generation's Jessica to run again as she was spotted filming for 'Running Man' at Everland Resort Theme Park in Yongin along with Eun Ji Won last April 2nd.

The episode is set to air on April 21st.

Girls' Generation Taeyeon, Tiffany & Seohyun Will Be Leaving Their Positions as The MC's Of Music Core!!

After hosting MBC's 'Music Core' for more than a year, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are now set to leave the show.

It is because of their busy schedules and their final appearance on the show as Music Core's hosts will be in mid-April, expected to be on April 13.  Meanwhile, the show is still looking on who will replace them.

Sad that it has to end because of their schedules, but still,  congratulations to Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun for a job well done and making 'Music Core' a lot more entertaining during their stay.  

Girls' Generation Sooyoung To Be The Lead Actress In TVN's New Upcoming Drama "Dating Angency:Cyrano"

On April 3, it was revealed that Sooyoung has been cast as the lead actress in the upcoming tvN drama titled 'Dating Agency: Cyrano', a 16-episode drama based from the webtoon, 'Cyrano Agency' and a prequel to the original 'Cyrano: Dating Agency' movie which starred Uhm Taewoong and Lee Minjung.

This drama will revolve around a 'Dating Agency' that helps people who are clumsy when it comes to dating by making love come true for them, the drama will unravel stories of love and dating in a pleasant, polished manner.  The role of the leader of the 'Dating Agency', Seo Byunghoon, will be taken over by Lee Jonghyuk. Though he's haughty and ill-tempered, he shows signs of a genius in the theatrical world and is a famous director.  After being guilt-ridden since losing his friend through an unexpected accident, this character decides to save his friend's theater company and begins the uncommon 'Dating Agency' business.

Girls' Generation's Sooyoung will play the loveable main female character of Gong Minyoung.  After showing her potential as an actress in her recent drama titled, 'The Third Hospital', she will now be acting as a couple with Byunghoon (Lee Jonghyuk), who she always collides with. Sooyoung will be transforming into the agency's beautiful member, becoming a helper for people in love.

Meanwhile, the role of Cha Seungpyo, who mysteriously gets tangled up with Lee Jonghyuk and Sooyoung's characters, will be played by Lee Chunhee. He will be a mysterious guy who hides his past and will appear as a charming chef who runs a small restaurant in the building next to the theater where the dating agency is. Lee Chunhee will rid himself of his usual image and will be showing off a new character with mysterious charms.

The PD of 'Dating Agency: Cyrano', Kang Heejun, also stated, "We are planning on upgrading the original work's ideas, add an angle, and we will show off a romantic comedy people will want to watch the most this spring. All the actors are inspired to show new, different acting. You can look forward to it".

They will start filming for 'Dating Agency: Cyrano'  sometime in the middle of this month, and their first episode is scheduled to air near the end of May.
